Northern Ireland’s Premier Christmas event spreads festive cheer and joy to over 120,000 visitors
Antrim’s Enchanted Winter Garden has been hailed a tremendous success after safely welcoming over 120,000 visitors through the town’s historic Barbican Gate to spectacularly kick-start their Christmas festivities.
The award-winning Antrim Castle Gardens was once again brought to life with sparking lights, flickering flames and festive sounds as it was transformed into Northern Ireland’s most popular Christmas spectacle for all the family.
The after-dark illuminated outdoor experience made a welcome return in 2021 and featured an array of dazzling vintage attractions, including the 35-metre-high Ferris Wheel, breath-taking Wave Swinger and the magical fairground Carousel.
Families and friends would ‘step into Christmas’ and wander through the captivating and glittering illuminated woods and paths, where they were greeted by a festive display of fairies, creatures, street artist performers, and fire jugglers.
The Festive Fayre of Artisan Food Stalls, a Marshmallow Pit and lots of warming hot drinks kept eventgoers stocked-up on seasonal delights as they captured the joy and wonder of traditional festive celebrations in this unique setting.
This year’s Enchanted Winter Garden ran for an extended period of 18 nights from Saturday 27th November until Tuesday 21st December with visitors form all across Northern Ireland and beyond attending.

Over 120,000 friends, families, and couples from all over Northern Ireland visited Antrim’s Castle Gardens to capture the joy and wonder of Christmas with our unique atmosphere, fun and festivities.
“This superb event truly transformed the beautiful Antrim Castle Gardens into an extraordinary after-dark trail of enchantment that truly captured the imagination of everyone that visited and helped spread some festive magic and cheer.
