Cheshire’s new family hot spot is Totally Roarsome!

Totally Roarsome: Cheshire’s new family hot spot. If you go down to the woods today, you’ll be sure to find… dinosaurs?

That’s what visitors to Cheshire’s newest attraction Totally Roarsome have been discovering.

Set in the woods next to the beautiful scenic gardens of Cheshire’s Mottram Hall is a new outdoor adventure featuring dinosaurs, bears, tigers and even some of your favourite superheroes!

VIVA headed down there to experience some of the fun for ourselves.

Nestled in a forest setting, we followed the not so beaten track, discovering a different world in each twist and turn around Mottram Hall.

As we entered Totally Roarsome we were given a quick rundown of what to expect from the experience, along with a clipboard and pen which detailed the quiz we could complete on our way around.

From finding the names of each animal (and dinosaur) that was showcased to answering a variety of educational questions, the quiz has been designed to encourage kids (and adults) to learn more about each attraction. As an added incentive for those who complete the quiz, if you hand over their quiz to a ranger at the end, you get put into a prize draw with a chance to win a bucket of sweet treats.

There are plenty of things to see as you and your little intrepid explorers navigate each world. Alice in Wonderland was a firm favourite of mine, a film and story book I’ve been fascinated with since my childhood days.

For the Marvel (and DC) fans out there, the world of superheroes is a fan favourite. Ironman AND dinosaurs? What a magical combination.

The attraction itself takes around an hour to complete, but you can go at your own space. We went child free, and it look us a good 45 minutes. Unfortunately, there is no picnic space on the grounds of Mottram Hall, however, there are a few parks close by and The Bulls Head is just up the road for those who fancy a pub lunch to finish off the day.

There are great toilet facilities on site, as well as a drink’s stand serving hot and cold drinks, alongside a range of ice creams and ice lollies. You can also buy goodie bags (£6) to keep the kids entertained – there’s both a dinosaur and unicorn option, as well as toys and mugs for a memento of the day.

Tickets are available at £7.95 each, and also includes a photo gift for you to take home after. Book your tickets here.
