Police investigating a stabbing in Sydenham have released new photos of a man they want to trace.
Officers called to Westwood Hill after reports of a stabbing at 7.12pm on Monday, August 8, discovered an 18-year-old suffering from stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. His condition has stabilised but his injuries are potentially life-changing.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area, and who has yet to speak with police, to come forward.
Detective Inspector Spencer Thomas, said: “A young man was stabbed a number of times in broad daylight at a bus stop. This was a brutal assault and it is only due to skilled medical intervention that he did not die.
“His injuries were so serious that he still remains in hospital and he may never fully recover.”
DI Thomas said he would like to speak to the man pictured, who may have information about the attack. He added: “We need to find the man responsible for this assault. He is clearly a very dangerous individual.
