Zinedine Zidane’s ex teammate opens up on chat amid Man Utd and PSG situation

Man Utd are confident they could appoint Mauricio Pochettino, but some supporters are hoping Zidane could take charge.

Zinedine Zidane’s former team-mate Alessandro Del Piero has told Manchester United the Frenchman would be a “good fit” as the club’s manager.

United are on the lookout for a new boss after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked on Sunday following a dismal run of results and performances.

Mauricio Pochettino is the frontrunner for the job, with United confident of appointing the PSG boss, who is interested in making a return to the Premier League.

United sources have played down speculation linking Zidane with a move to Old Trafford but that hasn’t stopped some fans from dreaming of his appointment.
