Anna Geary has encouraged her friends and followers to ‘choose to train & exercise’ because our bodies deserve it, and not as an act of punishment on our bodies in a recent social media post where she investigates ‘The “Perfect” Angle.’
The RTÉ star took to her Instagram platform to discuss the pressure we put ourselves under to get the perfect ‘angles.’
Anna’s ‘Tuesday Thought’ was to stop comparing ourselves to other people’s photos. The Cork native shares all things wellness and well-being on her social media platform.
Taking to Instagram, the Ireland’s Fittest Family coach uploaded a reel where she was ‘caught in the act’ of trying to get a ‘natural angle’ for a mirror selfie of herself. The audio to accompany the video repeats ‘Don’t do that, I know what you’re doing, don’t do that.’
She wrote: ‘Don’t geel pressure to get those angles… Or to try & look like what you see on social media. Do NOT compare yourself to other people’s photos.
The former camogie star added: ‘Choose to train & exercise because your body deserves it, don’t do it to punish your body to look a certain way!’
The reel on getting ‘the perfect angle’ was well-received by Anna’s 130,000 followers, with a huge influx of laughing emojis commented under the post.
One also added that ‘We’re all guilty.’
Another commented: ‘You said it Anna.’
A third said: ‘love this.’
The former Cork camogie star has been very well received on Instagram recently, and posts all about workouts and well-being as well as all about her home life.
Anna recently enjoyed her first wedding in over a year earlier this month at the stunning Ashley Park House in County Tipperary. The star enjoyed the wedding of friends Eugene and Donna.
She was accompanied by her husband Kevin Sexton, who she married in 2019.
