Gogglebox has been hit with a further set of Ofcom complaints after showing a ‘shocking’ X-rated clip between a woman and a duck from the new Apple TV series Roar. The scene caused uproar among many of the Channel 4 show’s viewers when it was shown last month and left the nation’s favourite armchair critics gobsmacked.
During the episode, the Goggleboxers sat down to watch ‘The Woman Who Was Fed By A Duck’ taken from the series based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern. The episode starred actress Merritt Wever, playing a woman named Elisa who starts a romantic relationship with a duck. A later clip showed the woman and the duck sharing an intimate sexual moment.

At the time, the Channel 4 programme received a huge backlash with viewers flooding Twitter saying the clips were “disturbing” and left them “traumatised” and in “shock”. In the weekend following the broadcast, Ofcom received a total of 149 complaints but since then an additional 68 complaints have been sent to the broadcasting watchdog bringing the total amount to 217.
