MARBLE CONSOLE TABLE

Date:

After kitchen layout, console tables is one of the things I am asked most about. But it’s also one of the hardest pieces to track down. Many of them are so old fashioned. Or too ornate. Or too big. Or too high. Often too wide. Or too mid-century for the Victorian space, or too fancy for the industrial loft.

But now I have found this. This might be the answer. Well, it won’t be everyone’s answer to everything but I definitely think it could be a lot of answers for a lot of people. It’s narrow – 22cm by 90cm long and 75cm high. It’s very plain – black iron legs with a marble top. And this is good because the legs bring a bit of industrial but the marble adds a touch of luxe. Which means if it’s behind your sofa you might only see the luxe top (which is perfect) and if it’s in your large open plan space, the chances are that it’s a modern space so this will also work.

Or you might just want it in your narrow hall and it’s a pretty good fit for all styles of hallway too as you can hide it against a white wall or make it stand out against a dark one. And you know where I stand on dark and dramatic hallways. Add a huge swathe of greenery, either real or fake depending on the greenness of your fingers and Bob will, almost definitely, be your Uncle.
