Ireland’s own ‘eccentric’ Robert Sheehan won the hearts of Late Late Show viewers on Friday night.
The Love/Hate actor received a warm welcome from the audience as he stepped out in a sarong and flip flops.
Host Ryan Tubridy remarked that Robert looked like ‘a million dollars’.
‘Thank you, this sarong cost about four dollars. So I think I’m up on the deal if I’m looking a million,’ Robert responded, charming viewers at home.
One person wrote on Twitter: ‘Robert Sheehan is the most wonderfully eccentric, mellow character and I love that he’s ours.’
The Portlaoise native discussed his roles in the RTÉ crime drama Love/Hate, Netflix’s Umbrella Academy as well as his new novel Disappearing Act.
Robert also divulged a story involving him breaking into a pumpkin patch in Killarney.
‘There were pumpkins everywhere, this really beautiful corn maze, horror bus, beautiful display for the kids,’ he said.
‘I didn’t steal two pumpkins, I left €20 and took two pumpkins and then left them a message on Instagram going, “Oh sorry that was me, Rob, I’m after nicking a few of your pumpkins. I hope you don’t mind me disobeying all of your signs”.
‘They got a good kick out of it.’
