Who is Jeremy Clarkson’s Irish-born partner Lisa Hogan?

Date:

Who is Lisa Hogan, the Irish-born partner of former Top Gear presenter and current farmer Jeremy Clarkson?

Lisa, 51, has been in a relationship with Jeremy, 61, since 2017, and features in Clarkson’s Farm, a new Amazon Prime series about the Top Gear veteran’s agricultural exploits in his Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds.

Clarkson opened the Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Chipping Norton in 2020, selling local produce, food and drinks to locals and visitors.

It’s safe to say that it’s far from tractors Lisa was reared, and the former model led a colourful, glamorous life before settling in the Cotswolds.

Born in Dublin and educated in the prestigious private school Alexandra College, Lisa entered into the world of acting in the early 1990s, when she was employed as a researcher by Faulty Towers and Monthy Python star John Cleese.

Lisa was subsequently cast as a sea lion keeper in the 1997 comedy film Fierce Creatures, joining a star-studded cast that included Cleese, Michael Palin and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Although referred to as Cleese’s muse, Lisa insists the pair never became romantically involved. At the age of 25, Lisa was involved in a terrifying accident, when her then partner’s private Lear jet crash landed on the A40 dual carriageway outside London.

Lisa was on her way to rehearsals for Fierce Creatures at the time, and was lucky to survive the incident unscathed.

The 6’2″ beauty has been married before, wedding the Madrid-based millionaire Baron Steven Bentinck in the late 1990s.

The couple share three children, Wolf, Alice and Lizzie, and during their marriage, Lisa divided her time between London, New York, an exclusive Swiss ski resort and various grand country piles across the UK.

The couple split in 2005, and their divorce ultimately went through in 2011. By this point, Lisa was a fully fledged member of Britain’s gilded social circles, counting the likes of writer AA Gill and singer Bryan Ferry as friends.

Lisa’s mother is the former model Arlene Underwood, while her father was the architect Maurice Hogan, who died suddenly of a heart attack when his daughter was just 14. Her stepfather is Raymond Keaveney, former Director of the National Gallery in Dublin.

As well as her modelling and acting skills, Lisa has more than a dash of artistic flair, and runs her own London-based studio where she creates figurative and animal sculptures.

As Clarkson’s partner, Lisa is now de facto stepmother to the presenter’s three children, Katya, Emily and Finlo.
